We are looking to recruit relief Homeless Prevention Workers in order to meet the business need during periods of sickness and annual leave to join our experienced team in Scarborough.

The Role:

Foundation is a registered charity and the largest third sector provider of housing-related support services to socially excluded groups across the north of England. We provide services for vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals and families. The organisation is structured into seven service areas, comprising 21 office bases.

The purpose of the Homeless Prevention Worker is to participate in a range of duties, including direct intensive reconnection work and support for young people at risk of becoming homeless and their families. The post holder will have the specific role of preventing young people aged between 18 and 25 from becoming homeless, through timely joint assessment and appropriate interventions, including mediation with young people and their carers. Through joint working with housing officers and homelessness prevention workers, this post will support the effective delivery of the Young People’s Accommodation Pathway.

The post holder will be based in the local Accommodation Advice and Prevention Hub, where allocation of workload will be provided by the Hub Co-ordinator. Professional supervision will be provided by the Foundation local Team Leader.
