Established in 1984, we are proud to be one of the leading names in the charity sector – and we’re even prouder of the great results we consistently achieve, helping to stamp out social exclusion in Yorkshire and the north of England.

Our people are the driving force behind every success we have, working through our values of professionalism, innovation, inclusion and empowerment.

From our humble beginnings as a small charity helping to resettle offenders  who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and ensure they find security, inclusion and independence within their community, we have come a long way. Over the years, we’ve expanded our services enabling us to reach out and help a wider range of individuals, to include:

  • Victims and perpetrators of domestic violence
  • Vulnerable children and young people leaving care
  • Alcohol and drug misusers
  • People with mental health issues
  • Women involved in the sex industry

As Foundation continues to grow, we’re actively invested in developing even more levels of support in partnership with other fantastic organisations who share our values.

Employing approximately 350 staff across 20 offices, Foundation provides services to more than 4,000 customers every year across the whole of Yorkshire and parts of the North East.
