Our teams across Foundation go out of their way to bring the festive spirit into the lives of our customers. Here are just a couple of the festive celebrations taking place this week. To all our customers, partners and services we work with, we wish you a warm and peaceful Christmas and the very best wishes for 2018.
Harrogate Progress Group Xmas Party
It was a double celebration at this year’s Harrogate Progress Group Christmas party as Progress celebrates its 2nd year running! A fantastic day and smiles all round despite what many of Progress customers are often faced with at this time of year. Progress Harrogate continues to offer a welcoming environment towards making a difference and help give a sense of belonging.
A Huge Thank You to everyone who helped set up this year’s Christmas Party and clear away towards the end of the day! Customers, staff, volunteers, other agencies continue to work together helping each other towards making things happen! Well Done to everyone and particularly to new comers, who helped out and who also look forward to coming along to the drop-in again in the New Year to access a range of educational/employment support and services.
Special Thanks also goes to the following agencies/services who continue to work alongside and support Progress Harrogate to enable customers to access a range of support and services in a familiar, welcoming environment:
Foundation Harrogate Team/Management, No Wrong Door, Harrogate Homeless Project, Richmond Fellowship, Princes Trust, North Yorkshire Young Person Leaving Care, North Yorkshire Police Commissioning, ASDA, Tesco Local, Springboard – Harrogate, Solutions – Smoking Cessation Advice Service, Probation Services – Harrogate, Harrogate Women’s Group, St Georges Community Centre, Various other agencies. Thank You for your continued support!
Wishing everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on behalf of staff, customers, volunteers and other agencies at Harrogate Progress Group.
Durham Customer Christmas Party
On Tuesday 12th December Foundation Durham held their annual Christmas Lunch event for customers past and present. Co-production was a major theme of the event with the lunch preparations being organised between Staff and three customer volunteers. One of the customer volunteers took on the role of head chef for the day organising staff and volunteers in the kitchen as well as assisting with shopping for the event on the day before the event. A delicious Christmas turkey dinner with all the trimmings and a dessert was served and guests participated in a quiz hosted by another customer volunteer and a raffle for a large food hamper was held.
The event was a resounding success with a staggering 35 customers in attendance plus partner agencies and staff bringing the total numbers attending the event up to 42! Donations from the Durham Christian partnership, Next, Poppies cleaning services and Darlington Probation Office sourced via a donation campaign by Durham staff meant that every customer who attended the event went home with a Christmas gift and a small food hamper.
This has been the most successful Christmas event hosted by the Durham team to date with a higher number of attendees and customer volunteers than ever before so big well done!
