Across North Yorkshire, Foundation have responsibility for supporting homeless young people. Having recently taken on a new activities worker, the young people in Poplar Villa and Victoria Court in Scarborough were invited to take part in Sexual Health talks. A Poplar Villa Support Worker shares more:

‘At Poplar Villa 5 young people attended. The talk was really productive and all engaged in conversation. Many questions were asked and answered. 4 Customers were tested and are awaiting results through the post. The purpose of the talk was to highlight Sexually Transmitted Diseases and discuss risks around having multiple partners and unprotected sex.  We are hoping to repeat this course every three months.’

The activity will be rolled out across all our young people’s services in North Yorkshire as part of the provision for the Young People’s Pathway.
