‘Four  Leeds  customers and one from York all attended  a Theatre trip to West Yorkshire Playhouse to see a production of Opera North’s Wuthering Heights ballet-without narration.

The dancing was fantastic as was scenery and this made up for the fact we didn’t really follow the story! All said that they enjoyed it and we have now booked on for the Community Network party at 6-30pm on the 5th December, followed by Strictly Ballroom at 7.30pm.

Events and experiences such as these play a huge role in our work with customers on social inclusion. The vast majority of our customers have never been to a theatre before, let alone to see a ballet. They also have very little experience of social time, something that a lot of us take for granted. As our customers build towards independence, they can begin to see how their future could look and that helps hugely when things get tough.’
