Programmes

Foundation delivers a range of programmes, across the North of England. The majority of which provide housing support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Offenders are one of the largest groups of customers that we work with and this type of service has an emphasis on reducing offending and community safety. Through The Gate service is a good example, which is for returning prisoners across the North East and North Yorkshire.

Young People is another customer group which Foundation works with across the districts that we cover, including those of North Yorkshire. Foundation leads a partnership that is delivering the Young Peoples pathway support service, funded by North Yorkshire Council.

Services like Full Circle, which is not accommodation based, delivers a range of activities for customers designed to promote positive mental and physical health. The Springboard Project is an innovative four year project, funded through the Big Lottery Fund’s Youth in Focus programme. The project promotes independence, improves access to education, training and employment and increases confidence amongst young people leaving care in York, Ryedale and Selby.

Foundation also runs a number of Domestic Abuse and sexual violence services. This includes the Sanctuary scheme, which makes it possible for victims and potential victims of domestic violence to remain in their home and a therapeutic service for children.
