We provide housing support services to adult offenders across all the areas in which we work. We provide a number of specialist services to meet the needs of offenders subject to Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements, Mentally Disordered Offenders, offenders subject to drug or alcohol rehabilitation requirements, Prolific & other Priority Offenders, offenders subject to Integrated Offender Management and male perpetrators of domestic violence. In all these services we work closely with Probation and other criminal justice sector partners to maximise outcomes for customers and for the wider community. We also offer housing advice services for offenders subject to Probation supervision.
We provide a range of housing support services for young people across the North of England. We deliver housing support to young single homeless, teenage parents, young offenders and care leavers. In our care leaver services we provide "taster flats" giving young people a chance to experience independent living in a safe way. We also deliver Information Advice & Guidance services for young people as well as In all our services for young people we work closely with Housing Options, Children's Services and Youth Offending Teams to maximise outcomes for customers.
We provide a range of services aimed at preventing homelessness, particularly amongst young people. Our "time out" schemes provide temporary accommodation for a 2 week period to allow family mediation to take place with the aim of negotiating a return home. We also offer other mediation services aimed at resolving disputes that could lead to homelessness. Where a return home is not possible we enable young people to find suitable accommodation with support. We also work with school and college students to ensure that they understand the reality of living on their own and the reality of homelessness.
We also work with homeless families providing support to homeless families and to those housed in temporary accommodation.
We provide a refuge service and dispersed accommodation in the community for women and children fleeing domestic violence. We work closely with Police, Housing, Health & Social Services and other agencies to offer an holistic approach to dealing with both the immediate and longer term effects of domestic abuse
We provide housing support services that work with customers with drug and/or alcohol problems aimed at ensuring that customers can retain or access tenancies. We also have a service in Bradford which is aimed at ensuring that our customers engage effectively with treatment services locally.
We provide bonds and rent guarantees to landlords which enable our customers to access tenancies in the private rented sector.
We provide a dedicated floating support service for women who are vulnerable, due to being at risk of offending or women who are involved in sex work. This service works closely with specialist voluntary sector agencies and the Police to help women tackle the range of issues that contribute to them working in the sex industry with the aim of them moving out of such work and accessing or maintaining independent tenancies.
