Adult Offenders

Adult offenders and ex offenders are supported in accessing and maintaining a range of accommodation within the city. We do not have hostel or our own accommodation, but work closely with a range of accommodation providers. Our wider North Yorkshire AIRS scheme also operates within the York team.

Young People

Young people can access a number of services from our York office. Young parents between 16-18 can access support to gain independent accommodation or support to live independently in their home. We support 16 and 17 year olds at risk of homelessness and work with families and other agencies within the city to prevent homelessness or refer to appropriate services as necessary. We support young people in need of housing and focus on developing their independent living skills. This may be through our hostel which houses 5 vulnerable young people and provides 24 hour staff support. We also support young people in their own tenancies where customers can be supported in a range of accommodation and concentrate on developing their independent living skills.

Homeless Prevention

We provide a service to those customers with substance misuse issues. This includes a bond scheme where we work with private landlords to secure sustainable accommodation. We also provide support for people in their own tenancies with such issues.

Domestic Abuse

We offer a multi agency initiative which supports victims of domestic abuse whilst remaining in their own homes and at the same time challenging the perpetrators and their behaviour. Encompassing many agencies from the voluntary and statutory sector that work together to ensure positive intervention to victims of domestic abuse. We offer support to many perpetrators charged with
