Introduction

Our team provides support to 154 customers in the Wakefield area, working in partnership with local agencies to enable offenders and young people to live independently. We work in partnership with the local authority support customers who are homeless.

Schemes

Adult Offenders

We have an 82 unit service for adult offenders that provides accommodation and support. We work with local Registered Social Landlords and Wakefield and District Housing to access appropriate and sustainable accommodation. We have a floating support service that works with 10 individuals who have substance misuse issues. We also have specific and intensive support tailored to individual needs for people in Wakefield who are registered as Prolific and Priority Offenders or those under Integrated Offender Management. These services support 26 individuals through a mixture of accommodation based and floating support.

Young People

We work with young offenders in Wakefield who are referred through the local Youth Offending Team. We provide accommodation and support for 6 young people at risk of offending.

Homeless Prevention

We also work in partnership with Wakefield Council's Open Door Project to reduce homelessness. We provide support to 30 individuals or families who are homeless and housed in temporary accommodation.

Foundation accepts referrals from many different sources. Customers may self refer to a number of the schemes and in others this may require a referral completing by a partner agency. Please contact your local office to discuss the necessary referral route.
