Young People

In Ryedale we offer 10 units of accommodation based supported housing which aims to help customers achieve responsible independent living. The accommodation is available to young people at risk aged between 16-25 years and also available to young single parents. The majority of accommodation is available in the market towns of Malton & Pickering. An Activity Worker is employed to encourage our customers to live healthier lifestyles, try new experiences and to spend their recreational time positively.

Offenders

In the interests of keeping victims of domestic abuse safe from further harm, we run a floating support service which is available to perpetrators. This scheme assists the customer to secure alternative accommodation and sustain their new tenancy whilst settling them into their new environment.

Domestic Abuse Services

We offer practical and emotional support to all victims of domestic abuse, and their children throughout Ryedale. Working in close collaboration with Police, Housing, Health and Social Services and other agencies, offering a holistic approach to dealing with both the immediate impact and the long term effects of domestic abuse. Our service contributes to a multi agency initiative in Ryedale providing positive intervention to incidents of domestic abuse, the main aim of the project being to address the number of repeat victims and repeat offending within the area. The scheme offers support to female and male victims and their families, with an emphasis on enabling the victims remain in their own home in safety should they wish to do so.
