Values and Vision

Working with vulnerable and socially excluded people –
our mission

Every member of the Foundation family, from permanent staff, to volunteers and student placements, are all united in the delivery of excellent service standards and providing unparalleled levels of support to our clients.

Together, we strive to ensure that vulnerable members of our society have the resources and assistance they need to find security and stability, and navigate a positive pathway through their personal challenges.

We build rewarding futures through recognising people’s strengths, championing their voices and working in partnership to deliver excellent services.

Our Key Values

Every individual we work with is treated according to the 4 core values that underpin our mission

  • Empowerment – self-worth, respect and control
  • Inclusion – the right to belong and be heard
  • Innovation – bold, creative solutions
  • Professionalism – leading the field in best practice and high standards

We believe that everyone can and should have access to the basic right of secure, socially inclusive, independent living, and our team is 100% committed to providing tailored support and opportunities to deliver these outcomes to people in Yorkshire and the North East of England.

“Inclusive communities where everyone matters”

Our Vision

Foundation’s strategic plan 2015 – 2018

We’ve come a long way in the last 3 decades, but we’re constantly looking at ways we can build an even stronger Foundation for the future.

Through a rigorous process of analysis, assessment and consultation, our teams have collaborated to create our latest strategic plan, ensuring that our services continue to grow and adapt in line with our clients’ needs.

Health has been identified as a priority area in Foundation’s Development and Growth Strategy 2015-18, but we’ll also continue to offer and improve on the support we provide to the following members of our local community:

Those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness

Victims and perpetrators of domestic violence

Vulnerable children and young people leaving care

Alcohol and drug misusers

People with mental health issues

Women involved in the sex industry

People with complex problems

Ambitious yet completely achievable with such a fantastic team and network of partners behind us, our new strategic plan, developed in our 30th year, looks like this:

Together we are embarking on the next stage of our journey, aspiring to our vision of creating “inclusive communities where everyone matters.”
